What Budget Policies control

Set spending limits and rate caps to control usage costs.

Budget Policies can define monthly and daily spend caps, request-per-minute caps, and token-per-minute caps for a workspace or a specific instance.

Default plus override

A workspace can set the default budget policy for every instance. A high-risk or client-specific instance can override that default with stricter caps.

For Pack, these controls work alongside prepaid credits and pre-flight holds. For BYOK, they still help operators control rate and usage behavior even though DPanel does not bill model usage.
